Super Frank;
Chelsea, Premier League Champions 09/10
Just as he stepped up to take the ball and place it on the penalty spot, routine for the super midfielder goal machine, he was hogged by a team-mate wanting to do the mission instead, Didier Drogba had his eyes on the golden boot award which he was contesting with Man United’s Wayne Rooney. “No Drogba, It’s 1-0..Team first.” was what he appeared to have mouthed to the No.11 and that's basically the story of Frank Lampard’s career as a footballer. A team-player with a ‘together we dominate’ mentality, he was the driving force that picked up & led Chelsea through their pitfalls throughout the season to come out as reigning champions deservedly so and in spectacular fashion netting 8 on final day and a Premiership record of 103 goals (the most goals ever scored in one season).

There’s no I in team.
The most underrated player of the season (and many seasons) has to be Frank Lampard, it was clear to see that when he was did not make it to the EPL ‘Team Of The Season’ despite netting 22 goals and creating 14 assists in the League alone.
“Lampard may not have the speed, heading ability, star quality or glamour of some who tend to dominate the headlines for the right or wrong reasons, but he deserves to be recognized as a modern day footballer who offers the complete package. To top it all, his class is covered by his desire to blend into the crowd rather than stand out as the superstar. It is a quality some of his shamed team-mates could learn plenty from.” – Kevin Palmer (source)
Frank Lampard’s personal records:
Over 130 Premier League goals (highest scoring midfielder in EPL history)
Over 75 assists (second highest assist in EPL history)
Over 150 goals for Chelsea (Chelsea’s third top scorer in history)
Surpassed 20 goals per season for the last 5 seasons.
Holds record for 164 consecutive Premiership appearances, from October 2001 to December 2005.
Was second to Ronaldinho in winning FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon d’Or in 2005.
